Based in the Yorkshire Dales, Joy Bowhay creates expressive semi-abstract paintings inspired by the landscape around her and a deep appreciation for art history and artistic development.
Living in the countryside near Skipton, Joy draws inspiration from the changing beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and the wider English landscape. Through years of study, workshops, and regular practice, she has developed a style that blends observation with expression, using tone and colour to create work that feels both personal and atmospheric.
